    How to remove hydraulic cylinder

That's exactly right. Its embarassing sometimes to ask but these jobs can become nightmares if you start doing things the wrong way. Better to ask and find out how it is put together. I always think that somebody must have done this before. And I'm very appreciative of the guys on this site...

    How to remove hydraulic cylinder

I replaced the first hose and took it off to get to the one behind it. I could get one hose end loose but the right side is apparently rusted in. Been spraying penetrating fluids but its not moving yet. They are more difficult to replace then it looks.

    How to remove hydraulic cylinder

I'm trying to replace the cross-over hoses on the steering cylinders for my MF 80 backhoe. The first hose wasn't too bad but I can't get the fitting loose on the second hose. The repair manual says it may be easier if the cylinders are removed. Yeah, but they don't tell me how. In the pic you...

    Thanks to Steve@Advance

A few weeks ago I posted pics of my MF35 governor assembly repair. Things didn't seem to fit exactly the way I thought but I was following repair guidelines. Its a good thing Steve@Advance offered some advice that saved me a 'do over, time and money'. The tractor is running like a champ and no...

    Massey 35 Governor repair

The lock nut was welded together with the remnants of the ball bearings ( at least that's what it looked like). I will try to separate tomorrow and see if there was something behind the lock nut. I was hoping it would snug up and tighten without any help. But it got extremely hard to turn as it...

    Massey 35 Governor repair

Thanks Steve...the cage does spin, but I'm afraid to over-tighten as I have turned it pretty good and the crankshaft is turning. I can stop it but don't want over do it. There is no washer with the kit as it would help tighten it. Is the cage supposed to be tight against the gear? I will check...

    Massey 35 Governor repair

The MF35 started surging and over reving so finally I suspected the governor. The first picture shows what was left after fishing them out of the oil pan. I made a gasket but decided to wait for a new one I ordered. I drained the oil and changed the filter. The third picture shows the umbrella...

    Maybe tobacco knife (pic)

You are correct...I just researched the sugarbeet machete and there are few types, and this is one of them. Thanks. There was never any tobacco near this farm but who knows where people get stuff.

    Maybe tobacco knife (pic)

I got these in a box at a farm auction. They are about sixteen inches long with a hook at the end. I was thinking maybe to cut tobacco leaves but really don't know. Would appreciate if someone could identify.....Thanks.

Always wanted a little red wagon for Christmas

But the 20 ton is not on each tire. Wouldn't it be around 5 ton on each...or am I mistaken? Or is that too heavy as well for a single tire.

    Before Tractors

...these shoes were on horses for agricultural help. The large shoe is probably for a work horse but the smaller one has me baffled. I don't think they are for harness horses (may use aluminum) but may for the younger horses. But why does the smaller shoe have metal added to the toe and ends or...

    Just a pine box

I think when the President of the U.S. passes, the funeral uses a pine box. My Dad was in the Canadian Navy during WWII and always said if its good enough for the President its good enough for him. Unfortunately I couldn't get one for him and we used whatever we could get.
