hey, everyone that offered all of your help. After I got all the grease and dirt removed from the area where the nut was, except on this one there was not a nut, only on the shaft there were two "flats" opposite from the other that takes a 16mm open end wrench that fitted it perfect. it sat under shelter for 30 years. I got it home, did a tune up and it cranked and ran smoothly on the first try. Its not leaky or squeaky. I have not driven it yet because I am waiting for a rear tire. I am definitely going to give it what it needs to make it right. It's a piece of history...- Brightm

yep! you are so right. My curiosity was getting to me. I went out to the tractor to take a closer look. I cleaned of the grease and dirt from the area where the nut is supposed to be still I didn't see a nut only what appeared to what use to have been a nut. It looks like it was tacked or...- Brightm

I'm new here so if I don't do something right just steer me right please. I'm working on a 1950 Farmall Super A trying to adjust the fan belt. Is there a special wrench to get onto this bolt head?
