    Isolator Valve/Standpipe

So like I said I have the isolator/diverter valve installed (TS300). When in the 3pt position it works fine. Now, when I put the valve in the selector position for aux hydraulics for the front plow nothing happens. Are the draft and position levers supposed to be specific positions to use the...

    Isolator Valve/Standpipe

I ended up draining some hydraulic oil out so that I could see exactly where the standpipe was to seat down. Got the isolator valve on and the 3pt works, but when I move the selector to the aux position the plow will not pick up. I may need to switch ports on the valve itself as the hose then...

    Isolator Valve/Standpipe

I have finally had the time to install an isolator valve on my MF50. I got the lift cover off by unbolting the 2 bolts that hold it in place and the standpipe came out when I lifted the cover off, figured it would. I replace the upper o-ring on the pipe as well. Now, I then put the standpipe...

    Isolator Valve

I actually haven't put the isolator valve on or the weight barrel yet probably a fall project but I was actually thinking about putting the 3pt down and resting the weight barrel on the draw bar rather than pick it up and chain it, just an idea. Then the plow can be raised and lowered through...

    Isolator Valve

The valve I posted a picture awhile ago was from a site aiproducts.com. Just go to "Hydraulic System Parts" and scroll about 3/4 way down called "selector valve" I actually bought the TS300 3 selector valve in case I want to add a log splitter some day and it was $20-30 cheaper than the picture...

    Isolator Valve

I also considered the PTO pump, and money was the issue, like you say very expensive. I ended up buying the isolator valve, haven't put it on yet. My concern was picking up the rear weight every time I wanted to lift the plow, which I figured would eventually wear out the 3pt. Are you looking to...

    TO 35 Hydraulic oil question

I was told by my Massey dealer to use Permatran in my MF50. Not cheap but very quick response even in coldest of weather. I had GL-1 in it before and will never put it back in way too thick for winter temps.

    Isolator Valve

I assume I need to plug the one that isolates the 3pt hydraulics anyways (when I select this position the plow will be disable and vice versa in the other position) and pipe the aux to my current valve block and leave the return in its currect position above the PTO lever.

    Isolator Valve

Thanks for the great information, I figured I was close, just need to isolate the 3pt from the plow. Where can you find the push/pull selector valve anyways? Is there a model that you know of? thanks again

    Isolator Valve

What exactly is involved in installing the isolator valve, simple/difficult? I will take some photos later today and post them so you see the current setup. thanks

    Isolator Valve

I am going to try to take some photos tomorrow of the hydraulics to clear some things up. I am debating about putting an independent pump on the front to control the snow plow, but maybe the isolator valve might be an option too. Hope to get some more advice after I post the photos.

Which Hydaulic Fluid should I use in Winter?

I just changed my thick gooey GL-1 out for permatran. It's winter here, temps at below zero this morning and the hydraulics worked quick yesterday when I added the permatran, so that would be my recommendation. Alot thinner than the GL-1, so I may switch back in the summer months.
