    MF 100 Pressure Relief Valve

    Here's some photos. Either the pump or relief valve and trying to find schematic of valve breakdown. Had valve rebuilt but they had no way of pressure testing or checking relief cut off.

    Loader was bought used and put on a 1935 TO-35. Pump showed leakage so rebuilt before mounting. Shows 800 lbs pressure in system. No filter as that's the way the MF 100 were. I also think the pump is bad but wanted to check relief valve prior to buying new pump.

    It is a AICO control valve. Single acting on the lift, double acting on the tilt. Will have to modify photos to send them.

    I guess that's why they call it a relief valve huh? I'm not going by volume in the bucket, just weight. Seems like it should lift more than a hundred pounds no matter if it's dirt, gravel or chicken. Feathers.

    I have a MM100 loader with its own pump on my TO35. An old loader with no external hydraulic filter if that helps. It has problem lifting a half bucket of dirt. One ram not working so had it rebuilt. Will check pump pressure on the freshly rebuilt pump. If pressure is good will have second ram...

    Took the pan bolts loose, lifted transmission up a bit and then just pulled the timing cover off. It cleared everything without having to remove radiator or front axel. Removed seal on the bench and back running. Hope this helps anyone who has to replace the seal.

    Thanks again for the info. I lifted up the transmission just to take a strain off the front oil pan. It only lifted the wheel on one side but I think it helped.

    Thank you much. I did what you said this morning and it worked great. Used heat plus PB on those dowels and it popped right off. Seal was still hard to drive out but heat, PD and drift punch finally got it. Jacked the transmission up to take some stress off the oil pan and loosened all...

    Thanks Tom. It looked to me like there might be enough clearance as thin as the cover looked to clear the crankshaft and remove the cover. I think the only way the seals are coming out is to have the cover on a bench. The front one doesn't budge so the second is probably the same. Thanks again.
