    Thank you for your replies. Right now there is zero free play in the clutch, nothing at all. There is no adjustment left on the finger bolt. Also the loose finger must have a broken spring on it. Is it doing damage to drive it the way it is very short distances like onto a trailer etc?

    Thank you for the information. I just didn't want to make a mistake. So, it will be okay then if the new paint has a gloss. I guess, of course it will be glossy compared to an older tractor. I couldn't find colored pictures of an original '51 Super A. showing the original color.
