    Have heard .17 caliber works well, but haven't used one. Actually, we'll feed 2-3 round bales in the winter, just fell waaay behind on the cleanup.

    So I got to thinking about how much of a fight it was going to be to soap/force the tubes onto the 2 places it was going to have to go (intake manifold and breather) and went to NAPA for a couple of EZ fit (not a brand name) rubber tubes. Under $10, will reinstall tomorrow. I'll post new...

    I replaced the muffler on the 8N, but had to remove the breather tube (?) to accomplish it. The rubber tubes were pretty much shot, so I bought new ones on this site. I got them, just the right size (measured the original ID and the replacement) but I can't seem to get the new rubber tubes onto...

    Pretty much out of the blue, the exhaust pipe on my 9N fell off. Also noticed the exhaust manifold has a couple of rusty holes in it. 1) Anybody know the part numbers I need to order new parts? I have trouble figuring out which parts are which. 2) Anybody have any ideas on temporary ways...

    9n PTO shaft from mower keeps coming apart

    The Deere dealer referred me to a machine shop. They had it ready next day, and it works like a charm. Mowed the pasture and never failed. The limiter chains helped a lot as well. Thanks to everybody for your patience and advice!

    Sounds a lot like Ford vs Chevy vs Ram... being formerly ignorant, I already had WD-40 so it's just about perfect. However, next time I'll probably go with ... Thanks, it was a great clip, and I'll check out some more soon.
