John Deere 350 Top Roller - Seal Replacement?

Working on a '67 350 Straight. I greased all the rollers with a low-pressure grease gun (used JD corn head grease) and oil spewed out of the back of one of the top rollers, so I figured I needed a new roller or at least a new seal. I ordered a new roller from Broken Tractor and the...

John Deere 350 Idler Bolt Replacement

'67 350 straight. Realized today that the idler on the right side was held on with a regular 3/4" bolt and no grease fitting, so it hasn't been getting greased. The bolt is NLA new, so I'll have to source a used one. A few questions - -Can I just remove the current bolt and install a...

Best Vintage'ish Tractor for Small Ranch, $10k Budget

My buddy and I are in need of a tractor for a small ranch in the Fredericksburg, Texas, area. He has an 8N right now; that's ok for pulling a bush hog, but that's about it. It would be used for all sorts of stuff - pulling a bush hog, moving dirt (i.e., needs a bucket), unloading building...

Broken Crossmember to Reverser Bolt - John Deere 350 Dozer - How to Fix?

I do have some CRC Freeze-Off. I generally use Kroil, but I can see how the freeze-off might be helpful here. thanks

Broken Crossmember to Reverser Bolt - John Deere 350 Dozer - How to Fix?

Yes, a very long drill bit would clear, but I'm not likely to find something large enough in a left hand drill bit. I'm sure I could with a right hand drill bit, but once I drill the hole, I've still got to get the remainder of the bolt out and I'm not a big fan of easy outs.

Broken Crossmember to Reverser Bolt - John Deere 350 Dozer - How to Fix?

I got underneath my '67 350 Straight and I was making sure all of the larger nuts and bolts were tight and I snapped a 5/8" bolt that secures the reverser to the crossmember on the right side. It's a grade 8 bolt and didn't put much pressure on it at all, so it must have been compromised and/or...

Thanks for the input. Any idea how much a new one 6 way control sells for? Scott Thanks for checking on that! I need to stop by my dealer this morning to pick up a few more gallons of Hy-Gard. I'll see if I can get a price on that. Thanks again, Scott

John Deere 350 Straight - My Emotional Support Bulldozer...

So, the dozer has several issues that need to be addressed. First, it would die after running for a few minutes, but if you waited, you could start it back up. Second, the track tensioner on the left side is stuck fully extended and won't release. Third, the clutch pedal return spring is broken...
