    806 head on a 560??

    Just checked the CIH parts and they show the same part number for both a c-301 or a c-263.

    H update

    I got one for my super h from NAPA that is made in the USA. Way higher priced than the others but it is working like it should. Dont remember the number but they can get them. Went through 4 or 5 of the China or India ones and they would only last about a week.

    666 hydraulic fluid

    Went to change the hy-tran and the filter in the 666 this morning and found the old filter and the fluid both had very fine metal filings in them. Anybody have an idea where to start looking to see where they came from. Thanks for any ideas.

    H governor spring shot?

    Go to the manual where it tells you how to syncronize the governor to the carburator and set the linkage just as they tell you to. Sounds like it is not opening up far enough. Had one doing the same thing and it really made a difference.

    M Hydraulic Pump Coupling

    Loren, I took the pipes off of the pump and then put a piece of redi rod about 4 inches long in the front hole of the belly pump on one side and the back hole on the other wheree the pump mounts to the tractor. Then with a nut and washer lower it enough to pull the coupling out and draw the pump...

    Engine speed

    Was wondering if anyone can tell me what the rpms can be safely set at on a stage one SH. I know the specs call for 1850 fast idle but I need more road speed. Thanks in advance.

    decal removal

    Go to IH dealer and get some silver argent. Comes in quarts and spray cans, lays down good and smooth and dont need a top coat on it. Butch

    WHY buy diesel pickup?

    Got a new F250 set up the same way. Just running around with no towing and some city driving it gets an average of 14.3. Did do one trip of about 400 miles towing about 19500, trailer and two tractors and it dropped me to 8.1. Some of this was in some pretty hilly area. Dont have the torque that...

    MTA governor

    Just picked up a SMTA and found something that I have never seen before. On the intake manifold above the carb there is a hose plumbed into the manifold and runs down to the governor control rod in front of the carburater where it is tapped into it. Was wondering if anybody had an idea what this...
