1973 International Cub with C60 Engine PLEASE HELP

Get to the basics. Fuel, air, spark. Is it running out of fuel? How's the sediment bowl filter? PLEASE tell me it doesn't have an in-line fuel filter; those are for vehicles with a fuel pump. Is the coil getting hot and shutting down? Is the charging system allowing the battery to get too low...

    OT Cow prices

When chuck roast is $5.79 a pound and pork loin is $1.88 a pound [sliced for free], guess which one I'm buying [and putting the excess in my freezer]. And hamburger at $2.99 a pound when it's on sale? I've nearly been priced out of the beef market. And I don't blame the farmers, either.

    OT, All legal like now

One of my high school classmates is 61 like me. He had a younger brother who was into drugs and such, and this brother had a daughter. My friend's brother straightened up his life, and was back on the straight and sober path when he died from a sudden heart attack. His daughter--her name was...

    Societies productive output???

A high school classmate of mine died a couple of months back. He was a decent enough student, probably top 20% of the class, and he was the shortstop on our high school baseball team and one of 2 quarterbacks [the short one] on the football team. When he died, his family put his senior picture...

Problem installing new rings in 240

Did you, perchance, measure the ring end gaps OUT of the cylinder bore? because you should be sliding the ring into the cylinder, before putting it onto the piston, and then measuring the gap when it's in the cylinder. 'Cause .040 is a pretty big gap...enough to cause problems with blow-by.

Not 100% sure, but I'd bet you'd have to start by using 706/806 side rails....

Need Advice from the Brain Trust...

Not as worried about snow as I am the fact that the driveway hasn't been bladed in the past 10-15 years, and it's pretty damn deplorable. Had some #8 gravel hauled to fill the ruts and washouts, and as you know the dump truck can only do so much as far as spreading the gravel evenly. I'd like...

Need Advice from the Brain Trust...

...or was that "brain t'rust...? Anyway, here's the deal: Mom and Unk jointly own the family farm. It's 13 acres, with about 10 tillable and in hay, which is taken care of by a neighboring farmer who's a longtime family friend. It's not a "this is your half, that's mine" split, but a...

How to resolve a bad (tool) deal?

Lanse, I know slightly less about a nuclear reactor than I know about a metal lathe. That said, if you can't find a corner of the shop to fix it in your spare time and adapt it to some crap work that you don't want to risk your "good" lathe on, then you may as well get rid of it and take your...

    Ignition coils failure,Super M ( Junk coils???)

Did your Petronix kit specify a resistor? There's another post below about an M with running problems, and one of the posters said that if you specified 12V when you ordered your Petronix kit, you don't need a resistor.

How about one from a landlord about switching renter

Cash rent or shares? If it's shares, you have a case for seeking out a new renter. If it's cash, just take his money, because he's only hurting himself, from the way I understand your explanation of what's going on. Does the nephew have a day job that keeps him from farming your folks'...
