Ford 641 Power Steering Breather
Thanks again. Pulled the steering column and installed new seals for the control valve. Put the breather back on and the power steering works without any leaks. -

Ford 641 Power Steering Breather
Thanks for your replies. The tractor is only used occasionally to grade a long driveway, bush hog along the road, and other minor work. Since plugging the breather, I haven't noticed any leaking anywhere and the power steering works fine. Will have to pull the control valve and reseal it. -

My 641 began puking power steering fluid from the breather on the steering gearbox. I ordered a new breather and after installing it, it continued to flow fluid from the new breather. I removed the breather and put a plug in it's place. Any idea what could cause this condition? Have had the... -

Case sleeve installation
I am installing the sleeves in a Case SC after replacing the O-rings at the bottom of the sleeves. What kind of lubricant can I use to help things along. I have installed 2 sleeves with petroleum jelly which seemed to work pretty well. Any concerns with the petroleum reacting with the o-ring? I...- tractortom336

Horn Manufacturing Wagon
I just picked up an old flare box wagon out of a barn. It says "Horn Mfg" on the side. Looks like a good candidate for new paint. Does anyone know the colors these were? Is the gear, wheels and box the same or different? Anyone have a picture? Thanks- Burkie

sleeved or not
You will have to pull the head to see if it has sleeves. I just finished rebuilding my 1962 641. My ser. # has diamonds but the block did not have sleeves. I understand at some point around 1962 Ford stopped producing sleeved engines, but some ser. # still had diamonds. -

Engine rotates very hard after overhaul.
Rod, I just finished an engine rebuild on my 641 134cid. You find many strange things that were done by previous owners. My main bearings were worn but not worn out and were .010 oversized. I replaced them with .010 oversized. Could hardly turn the crank with new bearings installed. Turns out... -
