JD 640 hay rake tine bar bearings
OOPS!!! I posted without finishing my post..... so 11 in the parts list is the shaft (knuckle), E16080, $45 bucks from Deere..... this is what's worn on my new rake.....the nuts loosened up and they wobbled in the reel wearing the shafts down to about 1/4 inch diameter. JD 640 hay rake tine bar bearings
Has anyone found a cheaper alternative to doing the tine bar bearings on a JD640 hay rake? Several years ago I had a New Holland Rake and had to replace the tine bar bearings, they were about $19.00. So I quit making hay, sold all my stuff......Now I'm going to make hay again and I'm replace all...- BWFARMS

540/1000 rpm/pto on a 3010
Thanks!!! Now it makes sense to me, as you install the 1000 rpm/pto stub it pushes the gear in. Now I got it! Thanks!!!- BWFARMS

Yep, I get how to change the stub. But just changing the stub to 1000 does not make it spin at 1000rpm. I've pulled the stub off to put a new seal (10) in the past. The schematic show different gears for 540/1000. So this is why I asked about the 5 bolts from the archived post. This is where I'm...- BWFARMS

Question? I've read the archives on changing a 540 pto to a 1000 rpm/pto. I have a 3010 Gas, rebuilt and strong, as strong as a diesel. I'd like to run a discbine with it and that requires the 1000rpm/pto. Can I take the 1000 rpm/pto stub out from underneath on the belly and move it to the rear...- BWFARMS

CASE480C ring and pinion
Stripped a few teeth off the ring and pinion on my late 1970's Case 480c backhoe, its a power shuttle. looking to see if anyone with in a days drive of southern Michigan has a parts machine laying around that they would be willing to sell the ring and pinion out of or the complete trans axle...- BWFARMS
