    WD lift arms

Now that I understand what you are doing maybe the shorening the linkage would be easier on the tractor and you. I have an after market 3 point hitch that was on a wd-45 which I could measure the links when I get a chance to look at them again if that would help. I have litature I can scan and...

    Loader for M602

I appreciate your concern and have noticed that in previous posts. Since this tractors been in the family we had some experence with learning of its limitations. As a teen ager I went over to the dealer and helped the elderly owner and his brother put in a Torque-Amplifier Clutch so we could buy...

    All Fuel John Deere

Thanks for all the information. I'll try it soon as I get some kerosene for my heaters. It sounds like the tractor will do fine. Mine is a 3rd owner 1946 H and always starts easy and runs good anyway. No matter how long it sits or how cold it gets it always starts good and the only repairs it...

    All Fuel John Deere

I have an H John Deere with 2 fuel tanks. I just burn Gasoline but does anyone know anything about using Tractor fuel or Kerosene and how it works? A lot of tractors were multifuel but you never hear about anyone doing it any more. I would try it but i don't want to mess something up that works...

    620 all fuel vs gas

I have a John Deere H that has 2 tanks and have always used Gasoline. What other fuel will it burn if I wanted to try it and what is the procedure? I had assumed that was outdated technology and tractor fuel was not available. Will kerosene or deisel work? cleddy

    hand crank on an h

I agree with you. Do it carefully and a tractor with a Mag starts fine even when the battery is down or missing. There has been more than once when the "H" was the only thing that would start with one 1/2 pull on the crank. Anything else Id just as soon use the electric starter. cleddy

    Yard art

I'm thinking this will be yard art. It was my Dad's first tractor and very used already then and has been sitting outside since maybe 1958 when the governer went out and my sister drove it home with him on the radator controling the engine. I could not give it away and fixing it up is a big job...

    M 5 plow day pictures

That is a little odd you had that trouble with the front tire rubbing. We had that trouble with our narrow front which had basically been thrown away. First we found one of the stub axles had a little bend in it and thought that was the problem and it was not after it was replaced.Looking at the...

M5 Pic on MM Photo Gallery

I looked at your tractor. Where did it get those fenders? They look nice enough but aren't clam fenders. M602 (1964) had clam fenders and next generation newer had the modern ones like you have.(1964-65-66-67 U302,) When I got my M602 back the guy had some newer fenders I could of lied about and...

    M5 Plow and mower question

Nice looking tractor. Where did you get your muffler and seat cushions? Did the muffler quiet it down much. I have a M602 that I want to have nice looking like that. What size tires are you running? Both front and back seem a little big which on a tractor that size it sure would not hurt...

    Moved a 975 NH Combine

There seems to be so much interest in the M602 Cab that i'll fill in the story. My Dad had a welder, torch, grinder, and an electric drill and built about everything he could especially when they had no money. We had a couple Heat-Housers over the years but he built 4 cabs starting with a open back...

    Moving the New Holland Combine

I'm going to wait until spring and nice weather and give it a good tune up and get the Ford 6 cylinder engine running real good and clean everything up & repair as needed(it worked fine on the last harvest 1994 but no one uses this size 40" rows anymore)and see if I can sell it again(ref:Post...

    Moving the New Holland Combine

Monday after getting the head up I pulled this Combine out of a lean-to building built on a back of a barn, down a slight slope around the corner up to the front with a WD Allis Chalmers tractor and found out quickly about the power steering cylinder being solid. The tractor turned but the...
