    1965 Massey 175 3-point Hitch Problems

I put everything back together, and the lift works now. I made a youtube video that picks up where this thread leaves off. I've become very fascinated by these Massey Ferguson 100 series tractors and learned so much getting to the bottom of my lift problem.

    MF 230 diesel pump----slight leak

Couple of pretty good videos on the one from a 135 with a Perkins: Taking it apart Putting it back together

    MF 35 CLUTCH

That would be a bad assumption unless you can get a tractor for USD120-250. Most all the internal hard parts are available for a reasonable price on this website.

    Clutch pedal leak

Oh yeah... It goes through the bell housing sort of part, not the gearbox part. Dang. So, there's either engine oil or hydraulic oil leaking into there, but it should be dry.

    Clutch pedal leak

Here's the parts book view from the AGCO website: It doesn't look like there's a seal or o-ring or anything--just a bushing.

Front Loader Seals - Model 40 Loader on MF 165

I was eying that tool after I reused a spiral backup ring instead of using the new solid ring on a piston with really sharp edges. It seemed like the edge of the piston was going to cut the solid back up ring no matter what I tried.

injection pump MF30 prime air bleed

Hmmm. Once it's full to the bottom bleed screw, I think you're done with that bleed screw and onto trying to fill it to the top one. You could even pour or pump diesel into the top bleeder. Do you know about manually working the lift pump when the tractor isn't running? I've heard that these are...

    Hydraulic pump removal IMT/Massey

It basically just slides out the back. It's the obvious bolts and an o-ring holding it in on 100 series. Here's a diagram: Remove the nuts and screws to remove plate 11. 9 is just held in by o-ring 10. Pop that out (easier said than done). I grabbed it with a big set of channel locks and...

    1965 Massey 175 3-point Hitch Problems

I got pretty far into this and wound up making a post in another thread about how to troubleshoot the three point hitch lift pump and lift cylinder on a Massey 100 series. It's really similar on the series before and after. I'm going to stick the info on that I've compiled in here hoping that...

    1965 Massey 175 3-point Hitch Problems

I ordered a seal kit, main intake screen, new bronze cam blocks, a control valve assembly, a relief valve, and all the gaskets to put the tractor back together from Yesterday's Tractors. My stuff came in four packages, and the seal kit for the pump was in the last one to arrive. I rebuilt the...

270 Massey 3 point stopped working

Hey. I have been going through the same problem on a 175. Someone else here was having some trouble with a 50, and I made this post about how to begin the troubleshooting process: https://forums.yesterdaystractors.com/threads/mf50-3-point-wont-lift.1759318/post-11464777

    hydraulic valve recommendations?

That top cover adapter is providing pressure from the lift pump. The PTO selector cover ports come from the auxillary pump. My 175 has a version of that PTO selector cover that provides pressure from the auxillary pump to two ports. Those are plumbed to a valve with intermittent actuation of...

    MF50 3-point won't lift

Hey, I've been going through this too. The factory service manual has a troubleshooting process to get you started. It may be a little different for your 50 than my 175. It could be as simple as an o-ring has blown out on the stand pipe, but my situation was worse. My lift cylinder was...
