I have a Ford Ranger pickup that I intend to put up in the barn for long term storage.. years, probably. I dont really know the best way to do this. Should I drain all the gasoline or put stabilizer in it, should I pull the battery or leave it in to run it occassionally? I plan on putting...

    o/t sourkruat

Good morning Larry, I just finished making Kraut 2 days ago. I do it the way my German ancestors always made it. I still have and use my great grandfathers shredder that he brought over here from Germany in the late 1800's. It is very simple to make. Once the cabbage is shredded, A few leaves...

Putting a snow plow on the front of a tractor

Yes, a plow works fine on a tractor and a Meyers plow will be great. I have had the Meyers on both 2 and 4 wheel drive tractors and obviously the 4wd is better, however plow with what ya got. Years ago I plowed with a Ford 2600 and would get stuck from time to time but after I put chains on...

    Potato Digger

Forget the plows if you Are going to do many potatoes and I would think long and hard before I got an old ground driven one. I Plant several acres of taters here in Maine and use an old McCormack pto drive and it works fine. It is the best way to go and it takes very little Horsepower to drive...

    case 310-G track problem

I have a little Case 310-G crawler/loader and it has a tendency to throw tracks. It always comes off the front idler (can be either side). The rear sprockets have been replaced so are in good shape but the front idlers are original I think. The chains are original but have new pins/bushings. I...

Prayers Needed and your Experiances with Kidney Cancer

Well, I am not a praying man but I will wish the best for your dad. In 2009 I also had a cancer on the left kidney about the same size and only found it because I was beginning to have heart issues related to it. It seemed that my heart was stopping momentarily, although it was not. That led to...

It is just trucks and construction equipment and I cannot remember the name of it. I think it was called .... something-Trader. Anyone out there Know what I might be Referring to? I...

    Cleaning up log chains.

As already mentioned, I use a cement mixer with a mix of dry gravel and sand. Works slick! I have an old electric mixer and I can set it to working and walk away and do other things while they are getting cleaned up.... maybe an hour depending on how rough the chains are. Cal

    JD-350 steering

Thanks guys. I think you answered another question.... sounds like I would have to take the track, etc. off to do the repair. Seems like a Pain in the Axe. Nuts to that... or as said, adjust the price accordingly! Thanks again, Cal

    JD-350 steering

I am looking purchasing a JD-350 and it has a steering issue. The owner had told me that the right side was weak but when we took it out for a trial run there was no steering on the right at all. "humph, that's new." he says. He claims that the yoke on the brake linkage just needs to be taken up...
