    91 Ford F150 big V8

That is the sensor, just wanted you to confirm it is connected and the tube isn't cracked. It sounds like what you are describing could be caused by extra air getting to the intake. That type of EFI system (Speed/Density) will run/idle at a higher rpm if there is an air/vacuum leak. I would...

Rectangular black box about 2"x3"x1" with a mounting tab, single vacuum line and 3 wire connector. I've seen them mounted to the firewall and in fenderwells

Should be under the intake below the throttle shaft/linkage (front of the engine right after the rubber air intake pipe enters the cast plenum) I wouldn't recommend arbitrarily adjusting it.

How long ago was the IAC valve replaced? How did the symptoms come about? If that one has the map sensor on the fire wall, check the rubber vacuum line running to it. Some of the older Fords need to sit and run for 15~30 minutes to relearn the idle after disconnecting the battery/jump...

    Allis Chalmers 706--B-FL gasoline forklift

Thank you! I can't seem to find much info about these machines and he doesn't have any of the manuals for it. I pulled the rocker cover and made sure the valves are free today, looking at fuel and electrical tomorrow (well today, I suppose) Carl

    Allis Chalmers 706--B-FL gasoline forklift

Can anyone tell me about these machines? I can't seem to find much on the 'net for specs etc... trying to help a friend get it moved from a remote location. Guess my pics aren't loading... The data plate says Model Name 706-B-F/L Model # 706-G Serial # 1787 Engine # 21068 It looks...

    dry Chevy engine

Do not pour liquids down that intake. Unlike a TBI or carbureted engine it is not designed to flow air fuel mix. I would not recommend cranking the engine over without the spark plug wires connected to the spark plugs or at least grounded out. The oil pump is driven from the crankshaft...

    Screwdrivers

I'm thinking; flat head (V8), oval head (deviled eggs sound delicious), pan head ( Harley-Davidson), cheese head (Wisconsin dweller), hex head (I try to avoid being cursed), headless (after impact treatment) and frothy (Grain belt Premium)... Gets a little scary inside my head sometimes. Carl

    Starter problems

I had a similar experience on a 6v starter. (62 Ford 4cyl 2000) It had a modified 6v alternator that failed so I changed it over to 12v, used an off the shelf prestolite 12v alternator, put on a 12v coil and away it went. For awhile... After about 4 months it made a terrible grinding noise...

    Diode number

I've used this supplier many times with good success. Jameco Electronics, great customer service and reasonable prices. Here is a link to the diode wore-out mentioned: https://www.jameco.com/z/1N5408-Major-Brands-Diode-1N5408-1000-Volt-3-Amp-General-Purpose-Rectifier_36273.html A...

    Slime sealer

I have had good results in many high and low speed tires with the tubeless and tube varieties of slime. I learned the hard way to follow the recommended amount for balanced tires (it will throw the balance off at highway speeds)... I had to get creative to remove the overage from the tires...

    Gas weed wacker

I have 2 Echo 58v cordless weed whips and the Echo cordless push mower (as well as Echo gas saws, gas blower and a gas straight shaft weed whip. I have used the cordless trimmer and push mower for several seasons and can give both a good recommendation. I have had enough trimming before...
