    Gleaner K input shaft clutch R R

I am going to have to use a puller as well. Tire is off and all other bolts are broken loose so I'm getting there. Trying to find a puller that will fit now.

    Gleaner K input shaft clutch R R

Bob, do you recommend loosening the castle nut rather than initially removing it due to safety reasons or are you suggesting to leave the sheaves loosely on the shaft during removal of the whole assembly?

    Gleaner K input shaft clutch R R

Thanks for your help guys. I just wanted to get a good handle on it to try and eliminate any surprises. No time for re-work or goof ups as a "part time" farmer.

    Gleaner K input shaft clutch R R

So step by step should be something like 1. Possibly remove or loosen drive tire if clearance is needed 2. Remove belt and sheaves 3. Loosen 4 bolts described in earlier post 4. Remove 10-12 bolts to separate clutch housing from tranny. At this point outer clutch housing, clutch assembly...

    Gleaner K input shaft clutch R R

Thanks for your reply and the tip on the parts diagram. I do have a parts book. My questions at this point are: 1. Did you have to remove the drive tire or at least loosen the lug nuts for clearance to do this? 2. Does the shaft slide out once you remove the input sheaves and spring assembly...

    Gleaner K input shaft clutch R R

Can anyone send me a link to or a photo(s) of the pages from the shop manual detailing the removal and replacement of the ground drive clutch on the input shaft? I would like to know what I am getting into before I get started (shortcuts, etc.) Thanks!

Farmall 656 main hydraulic pump removal

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions on this one. I have everything loosened/removed as per the shop manual, but the cover plate and pump don't seem to want to budge even after a generous dose of persuasion from a big hammer. Any ideas?

    Gleaner K separator clutch

yes. I double checked myself with the book as well. When going counterclockwise didn't seem to have any effect I tapped it back to the original position to see if I could see any difference, but it still acts about the same.

    Gleaner K separator clutch

I am having difficulty trying to adjust the separator clutch with the my model K. The clutch does not slip, but the lever no longer snaps over center and will ride up on its own so that the separator clutch will not stay engaged. Is this problem corrected by simply adjusting the outer ring on...

    Gleaner Drive Clutch

VS belt does not appear to be slipping. It has some age, but is still in fair shape. I need to refer back to the book to see if there is a way to tension it or not. I'm thinking not.

    Gleaner Drive Clutch

Does anyone know if there is any adjustment for the clutch on a 3 speed variable transmission for a Gleaner K? I'm beginning to have trouble starting from a stop on flat ground in 3rd and even at times in 2nd when in the field. Other possible causes???

Reel lift cylinders on Gleaner platform header

There is one two way and one one way cylinder on the header, but no valve.

Reel lift cylinders on Gleaner platform header

I got air in the lines between the two reel lift cylinders. I have been trying to bleed it out per the book with the bleed screw on the single action cylinder (RH), but cannot get the two leveled out so that they are working together. The RH cylinder does not begin to work until the LH...
