    ID disc

I'm pretty sure it is a 37. Looking at the case ih parts website, the center frame angle iron is curved on the 37 and straight on the 470. There are a few scrapers missing. I haven't searched for any yet, but does anyone have an idea of where to start looking?

    ID disc

Thanks for the help guys. I did some Google searching with your info and I believe it is indeed an IH 37. I have a couple of wheel bearings to replace and a few other odds and ends then it should be field ready.

Brother in law brought this home from an auction recently. I'm trying to identify the make and model if anyone has an idea? Thanks in advance

    Setting valves on a 430

I have a 1965 430 that recently developed an engine miss. After replacing plugs, wires, and going to electronic ignition, I ran a compression check last night. I found: #4 130lbs #3 135lbs #2 125lbs #1 40lbs and pushing compression out of the exhaust. I couldn't find my feeler gauge but I...

I could use a little more schooling....

Dad and the uncles never liked the automatic headers too much. From the time we had Case 700 and 960's they wanted us to watch the header and do it manually. Of course those were 4 row machines and our ground is very flat with few rocks!!! As we progressed to gleaner L2 and L3, we used the...

    'nother diamond question

I own my own jewelry store in a small town. My best advice is to search out a small mom and pop store in an town near you. Stay away from large retail outlets and chain stores. Most of the larger stores don't have a jeweler in house. They usually send all of their repairs out of the store to be...

    Are we really better off????

This post really hits home with me. I was born and raised on a row crop farm and loved everything about it. Would have loved to stay on the farm, but in the late 80's there just wasn't enough land or money to support my dad and his brothers who all farmed together. I worked the winter months...

    Farmall sat auction

I'm not sure when the auction is. Most likely on Monday. The subject line should have read "farmalls at auction". Fat fingers!!

    Farmall sat auction

I drove through the lot at Dewitt auction in Sikeston, Mo this morning. There were probably 6 old farmalls and 2 cotton pickers lined up. I didn't have time to check everything over, but they are definitely fence row tractors. None of them looked like they had run in many years, but I would...

    4010 mules stalls

I have a 2009 4010 and it has been one of the most aggravating things I have ever bought. I have around 250 hours on it. From about 150 hours on, it wouldnt hardly idle. It kept blowing fuses with no rhyme or reason. Would have a dead short that I tried unsuccessfully to trace and would then...

    Planting with the 430

Finally got the planter lined out and put some sunflowers in the ground.

    Re: 1090 Black Knight Demonstrator

I saw that tractor at Dewitt salvage a while back and posted pics of it. I think it was already sold at that time and believe it went north.

    Turning dirt with the 430

We didn't stop long enough that day to take pics of it all together. We will be planting sunflowers as soon as it dries up and I'll take time to stop and get some good pics.
