    1070 transmission issues

    I just bought a desert sunset 1070 Western tractor sight unseen. The tractor runs great but the power shift transmission does not want to move forward. Reverse works fine in all 4 gears. In forward nothing happens when you let clutch out. I finally got the tractor to move by shifting the power...

    My name is Gene Timm, I'm located in southern Illinois. I own two. One is SN 4501161 from the Gyger collection. The other one was a barn find from near Kansas City. I don't have the SN at this moment.

    1070 Demonstrator

    Yes, the are collectible. 1070s would have been one of the most common demonstrators but if tractor is straight then it should be preserved vs scrapped in my opinion. Post in on Craigslist or eBay or Facebook and see what it does.

    Cost of Babbitt bearings

    I have a Sunnen bearing sizer that belonged to an old man that had a machine shop. I only bought it because I thought someone smarter than me needed it to size these old Babbitt bearing motors. I would like to sell it and all of the sizing molds if anyone is interested.
