A clean organized or cluttered up messy shop?

Mine is too small to begin with so I am already disadvantaged there. I am not the most organized person on the planet so it can get to be a bit much at times. It's hard to balance working full time and then working on your stuff when you get home. What ends up happening is I will HAVE to get...

SC Case and Allis Chalmers WD should be friends now

We've got one thats real jumpy but I suspect the lining may be loose, it still holds and runs and we've taken it on 3 30 some mile tractor rides, dad gave $250 for it and probably uses it the most lol. Shifting on the fly would be harder on the gears than the clutch, probably just a coincidence...

SC Case and Allis Chalmers WD should be friends now

I'm real surprised it was stuck since those are wet clutches. I've gotten several of those running that have sat for decades and never had a clutch stuck.

    $100 Farmall H

I’m really not allergic to it, just don’t want to drag it inside somewhere else and give it to my wife or daughter. We’ve always clipped them off and waited 6-12months and then peeled it off of whatever. Guess it may depend on how severe a reaction one has to it

    $100 Farmall H

So I got this steaming pile home last night. Got a spare rim and tire on the left side and the other 3 took air and were still holding this morning. Everything spins/turns except the engine. I lightly bumped the clutch in 5th while dad was pulling me through the yard and it didn't even attempt...

    $100 Farmall H

I know absolutely nothing about Farmalls. Dad is taking it to the house right now so I will be able to mess with it and take some pictures then. Also gotta put a rim and tire on it, the left one did not survive loading it lol. Once I get some pictures up you guys can help me decipher if its a...

    $100 Farmall H

Its a '47 or '48 model. S/N starts with 25. I got some more info on it. IT was stored in a barn for a long time, then it came to the shop there to get worked on and they never proceeded with it. He used to keep a can on the exhaust but I guess the wind or something took it off. It has been...

    JD 455D Whats it worth

Turns out it was just low on fluid. added about a gallon and it took back off. Alternator is seized as well as the throttle cable but will make an offer on it and see how bad he wants rid of it.

    JD 455D Whats it worth

Its a lever steer. I am betting that its either low on fluid, there was a small leak spot under it, or the linkage that you are describing for the HLR valve is sticky

    JD 455D Whats it worth

Update: Got hot batteries in it and it didn't even make half a revolution and fired up, engine runs great. got it to move backward, did not want to move at first, went forward, back again and then stopped and wouldn't move. Got it to go forward again and then it just stopped like pushed the...

    $100 Farmall H

In my mind anyone can buy one already running, for me its just fun to see if I can get it running and operating with as little work and cost involved as possible, cost more so than work as I really enjoy taking them down and fixing them and learning what they are all about inside. I've done this...

Our Cases have a weep hole in the low spot of the elbow, sometimes that saves them but not always. Had an SC that was stuck tight and got it loose and its the best running thing we have
