    cast centers

You will need a set of the horse shoes that came with the wedge locks and the two long bolts. One on each side of the hub bolted tight together so when one wedge comes loose it bottoms out against the horse shoe and pushes the other wedge out. Also you need a GOOD 7/8 12 point socket and an inch...

7140 not running up to power part of the time

Sounds like two different problems, the quitting sound like the cab solenoid is going bad which is common.Yes you can run it with the fuel shut off wired back tight all the way but it sounds like your string is not holding completely open. As for the transmission thats a separate problem as the...

Large HP tractors see what the mind trust says

You need to get your accumulators recharged with nitrogen. Your shifts should be crisp and firm regardless of the load. I own two magnums and know if the pressure drops in those accumulators you get mushy delayed shifting. Don't run it low on pressure or you will be fixing the transmission.

Ah no, the 45 and 47 were DV 800's completely different. He might try calling navistar and try cross referencing with a 9 litre truck engine ,I believe they were a close relative.

    1066 engine overhaul

Why not pull the engine and do it all, cam bearings front and rear mains and so fourth. Make sure to measure the sleaves once you install them and then measure your new pistons and match each one to a sleave for the correct fit. The reason for doing so is that a lot of the new parts are not very...

Case 1690 David Brown pushing coolant out upper hose

Take the fan belt off so the water pump isn't turning and try it. If it does it without the water pump turning its compression in the cooling system and the head will be coming off.

    1855 engine

I know what a cooler block looks like because my 1855 has one and both them pics are cooler blocks. The one that scooter posted is a by pass filter not a cooler. You can see the coolant lines going to the cooler.

    1855 engine

I've been around 4 digit's for a long time and have never seen an add on oil cooler. How did it mount and I take it there must have been external coolant lines? Pics??

    1855 engine

Different block ,the cooler is casted right into the block. They were usually updated because the original block ventilated itself. Another thing to look for is the updated 12 point rod bolts. If you pull the dipstick and shine a light in the hole rotate the engine till that rod comes around you...
