    John Deere 14T baler knotter/needle problem

    Thanks for the input. I will focus on the trip dog, and timing of the baler(I noted the auger chain had slipped off while I was testing it(manually using flywheel) so need to tighten the chain(remove link) and retime machine.

    Thanks for the diagram. I will see if the springs are intact. I will also tighten the needle brake, retime the baler and replace the knives as others have recommended.

    I just purchased this baler from and auction,went thru all the maintenance then tried it out.It worked fine for about 10 bales, then noticed twine was wrapped around both knotters about the size of a golf ball. So I cleaned everything up tried it again and kept an eye on it.. After several...
