    LULL / PRIMEMOVER LD50

Yes, The valve is located under the seat but I was able to clean the ends up to get some good pictures. A local hydraulics shop reviewed them and said he is about 95% sure it is a Gresen valve. He told me they were bought out by someone else but they still use the same parts. He is going to send...

    LULL / PRIMEMOVER LD50

I was able to purchase a really cool small articulating loader this last year. The history shows it was built by Primemover, John Deere and LULL at different times. Mine has LULL decals. It is the handiest loader you can imagine. When I was running a skid steer, it beat me about to death, this...

    Brand New 1470

Those historical pictures are great. Back then you actually had to make an effort to take pictures. Now we have cell phones with cameras and can snap pictures of anything, anytime and yet we don't save the pictures that we should. I am certainly not a big time collector but I have several old...

    Starter Linkage configurations

Thank you for that information. This confirms my thought that there are parts from different years on this tractor. The axle castings have serial numbers that start with 2N and if I understand the timelines, 2Ns started in 1942. This all makes the tractor that much more interesting.

    Starter Linkage configurations

My wife just bought her first classic tractor at a recent city auction. It has 2N castings and 9N castings on it and from the looks of the varying gasket sealers, it has been worked on several times. The tractor runs great and is very tight. There is a modern starter button on the dash and when...

    dating and finding model

This might be sort of changing the subject but I found what appears to be a 9N with Montclair on the side of the hood in chrome letters. Is this something that someone just put on it or is there something behind this Decal? I could be wrong about the model as I was just driving by when I saw it...

    Case 1470 Transmission

Thank You for your help on this matter. After I made some adjustments, cleaned the filter, adjusted the clutch, replaced the oil and said a couple of prayers I worked 40 acres this evening and it didn't miss a lick. I will continue to love on it through planting and then maybe open it up for a...

    Case 1470 Transmission

Can I pull the top cover off without having things fly around like opening up one of those cans with the spring snakes in it? It appears by the drawing that everything should come apart OK. But I have had things go terribly wrong before. If I can get the top cover off maybe I can see what is...

    Case 1470 Transmission

Thanks for the info. I can not seem to find the scans you sent. I adjusted the inkage on the shifting lever and it feels much better. I will try driving it this morning to see if it helps.

    Case 1470 Transmission

How much oil should be in the transmission? The pump suction line is about half way up on the back. Is the a line that goes down further on the inside?

    Case 1470 Transmission

What weight of Hydraulic oil is used? Some of my other equipment is very sensitive to either heavy or lite oil. I will drain and replace the oil and check the pump lines as you said. I like the old tractors and this one is a work horse so I want to keep it running.

    Case 1470 Transmission

The lever that jumps out is the outside lever when it is back and the inside lever is forward (it is in 5th gear). It doesn't seem to do it any other time. I was thinking maybe linkage but the guy I got it from said it has been doing it for several years so it might be deeper. Where can I find...

    Case 1470 Transmission

Did you just replace the bearing or did you also have to replace the pump? When it jumps out of 5th gear it is when it is under a load and in a rough field. It doesn't go completely into neutral, just enough to stop and grinds terrible.

    Case 1470 Transmission

Has anyone done major work on a Case 1470 Transmission. Tractor runs great but the Transmission has a bearing making noise and jumps a little in working gear (5th). I think I want to try and get it running better.
