    the intake aand exhaust manifolds look like it maybe a 283 or 310!!

    I had that happen too if you can get the manifolds apart you can put a piece of copper flashing between the intake and exhaust manifolds and solve that problem, had that happen to my 77 30 years ago and still runs fine.

    we got it running after a new coil, points, condenser and a new spring in the mag, thanks to everyone for the help.

    Fuel or spark issue?

    try just taking the gas cap off, sometimes the vent in the cap gets plugged did the radiator and gas cap get switched they won't run very long with them switched.

    add some sta-bil treatment to the gas the turn the gas off and let it run till it quits, be sure to turn off the ignition after it stops.

    looks like the 88 engine, they just made a new hole in the hood so they could use a new style muffler to replace the old style under the hood one which was offset

    the hydraulic pump seals are most likely bad and leaking the into the transmission if you are lucky, the centerplate could be cracked if it had water in it and froze.

    Bought a 770 with something locking the engine or transmission.

    if it has hydraulic the and has no oil in it the pump could be seized, pull the long pto shaft out and try to start it, been there done that.

    you can get a Jin&bao strip that glues to the floor with a lip that keeps the water out. worked good on my floor with no more leaks--------
