    3010 Narrow or Wide front

Gerald, Can you describe in better detail where to look for this shift, is it the shift between 540 RPM and 1000 RPM down by the PTO shaft? I going to look at a older 3010 and wanted to better understand if it has the fix on it. Thanks

    JD hydraulic check

Thanks Tim, It appears after looking at another 2510 my neighbor has that it is possible the hydraulic pump that is making the noise. How difficult time and expensive is it to replace the pump including an upgrade to the 8 valve one? This is a wide front end? Can I just remove the cover plate...

    JD hydraulic check

Can some one explain to me how to check easily the hydraulic on a JD without placing a implement on the machine. I suspect that I would need a cylinder and hose with a pressure gauge on it is my first guess. Maybe it is easier. What kind of pressure should I expect at PTO RPM for a JD 2510 gas.

JD 2510 gas engine. I have noted that my 2510 does not have a air inlet coming through the hood. It does seem to make a large noise that I thought was a alternator whine since it increase with rpm. On further analysis is seems to be coming from the front of the tractor. Can some one confirm...

    JD 2510 Synchro-Transmission Shifter Issue

Thanks for the information! Is it hard to adjust the synchronize mechanism, I see that the gears are available but I don't have the IT book to look it up. The linkage should not be a problem. I have another issue which I will post in a separate note.

    JD 2510 Synchro-Transmission Shifter Issue

The transmission shifter needs adjusting or something, it sticks and grinds when I shift into 5, 8, R , 3 seems to be when I must take it all the way down and to the right. Any suggestions, all it takes to get it in gear is to push up to the top of the gear selection. Believe that it should...
