    3020 configuration help?

Oh, and I have read that some of the 3020's had a lockable differential. Where would a guy go looking for whatever it is that controls it? This tractor is like a spaceship compared to my model A and my MT. Lol!

    3020 configuration help?

One other question that maybe you all can help me out with. I took the tractor for a drive and when I went to back it into its parking spot it started shaking really badly. Like there was a fifty pound weight slinging around at pto speed but the pto was not running. I set down the mower and it...

    3020 configuration help?

Get rid of the fender extensions and it looks like a dead ringer for this Utility model. Looking at the weight to horsepower ratio of this tractor it looks like it might be a good candidate for playing with in the local stock antique tractor pull. They have a horsepower limit of 10hp for...

    3020 configuration help?

Tom, this was the only pic I got while out at the ranch that shows it very well but you can see that it definitely has fender extensions. They had me scratching my head too. They look like they were professionally made and they are mounted to fenders that I am not used to seeing. The 3020 and...

    3020 configuration help?

Hello. My dad got this 3020 diesel not too long ago for working in his almond orchard and I just inherited it. Aside from the hastily cobbled together cage to lift the branches over the operator, can anyone tell me anything about the configuration of this tractor. It is a lot lower than the...

    A model clutch woes

This, plus I leave the washer and center bolt in, just backed out a few turns. If I load up the two bolts and she won't budge I give the center bolt a sharp rap with a hammer. Helps to break loose the stubborn ones.

    IH cam grinders?

My cousin has a hard pulling little Farmall H that he does really well with but he's thinking about trying a different cam. Who are some good, knowledgeable IH cam guys that he could talk to?

    Removing steel wheel centers

I wonder if filling the tubes with water would help soak up any of the heat that gets transferred through? Kind of like how you can boil water in a milk carton. As long as there's water in the carton it doesn't burn.

Taking one Mag off of a G and putting a new one on

Use the timing mark on the flywheel to get it to top dead center. Look at the position of the rotor on the old mag. Remove the old mag. Turn the rotor clock wise and get it against the spring tension. Install the new mag with the body cocked a bit clockwise, making sure the rotor is pointed in...

JD A 9 bolt hub adapter plates

The center collet is splined and go over the axle, three bolts go thru the flange of that collet and screw into the hub center. Once those bolts are thightened they press the collet into into the tapered hub center, clamping the collet around the axle and wedgeing the two pieces together. That...

JD A 9 bolt hub adapter plates

I bought a pair of model A factory 9 bolt hubs from Miller tractor. Cost of the hubs plus shipping ran me about $280.

    Two cylinder tractor size

But through differences in weight, gearing, tire size, etc., etc. a tractor with a 100 horse engine may not be able to apply that power and get as much work done as another tractor that only dyno's 75 horses.

    John Deere A front tires

Could you get away with adding a hole in the draw bar and running it backwards so it sticks out straight with no dog leg to it? You'd loose a few inches of length.
