    pertronix ignition

    This is on a pulling tractor...trying to eliminate the ballast resistor altogether. So it sounds like we just need to provide 12V and a 12V coil and we're good to go. Honestly we'd rather run a mag like we do on our other tractor but don't have another one. Thanks for the replies.

    Pete, correct...these are the buttons on the pressure plate fingers. They thread in and should be replaceable.

    Ford NAA with sherman trans

    To clarify...I don't expect it to be anything great, kind of wondering if it will move the sled too. I suppose at 3100# (don't think it will go 2600#) I'd be pulling against Farmall A's and B's. Regardless I'll try it out in a few weeks and see how it goes.

    I just acquired a low hour '53 NAA with step-up/step-down Sherman trans installed. In step-down mode is this thing a capable puller at say 3100#? I noticed that the standard first gear is relatively high - 3.6 mph. Thanks

    Thanks...I guess my next question is this something we can do with a seal kit or will it have to go to a shop? Is it just seals and gaskets or will it require bench set-up on calibration equipment after we mess with it?
