    Thank you. This makes sense. I'll take a hard look at the cap. Perhaps it didn't have a proper vent to begin with or it melted? Why would it fail? I'll go out and try to take it off and get a picture. Right now she's sitting in my back pasture.

    Thank you. That makes sense. Just need to understand why it overheated besides the fact that it's old and maybe the work out was doing was too much on a hot day.

    Just to be clear, the vent is part of the had cap, correct? So does it look like the cap is wrong or perhaps melted some how?

    While mowing yesterday, water started spewing and coolant came out along with it. Everything was too hot to check, so checked this morning. Now the gas tank seems to have collapsed or imploded. Any idea about what happened and how it can be fixed? Thank you.
