    Lift Arms

Can anyone tell me why my MF 50 leaking oil at the top of the lift cover, it looks like it may be coming from the stand pipe, the lift arms appear to be working fine. I thought check if anyone could point me in the right direction before I started taking apart. any info would be appreciated.

since the head gasket blew do you think I should pull the sleeves and clean them before I put the head back on. I put fresh antifreeze and water in it before I started it. Going out to drain it now and maybe pull the head later.

What do you think about raising them up a bit and cleaning under the lip and sealing with green Loctite before torqueing it down. I have not pulled the head yet since the back fire , before I put it on the last time they appeared to be raised like the IT shop manual said.

Cleaned everything up and replaced the gasket, torqued it down (had to use a wrench on the side nuts) I got it running...

    MF 50

that's what thought it was until the machinist said it was not, I don't think I will be sending him any business. I think I will use the green lock tight around the top edge to seal it when it goes back together and look for another machinist. Ill keep you posted.

    MF 50

The engine was cold with all new sleeves pistons, crank was turned, new crank and rod bearings, this is a Z134 gas engine. The machinist said it was a dry sleeve engine. I heard that you can use green lock tight to seal the top side of the sleeves. any info would be appreciated.

    MF 50

It only had approximately 75 pounds of compression so I decided to rebuild this past winter. It did okay after the rebuild for...
