    Just the front. It's actually fairly easy to split them. I had mine in thirds recently to replace transmission gears. It was much easier than I thought it would be.

    Took the starter off and it's stuck in the engaged position. How do I get this to unengaged? Searching mentions using a wire wheel to spin it back up but I don't have a wire wheel. Any other options?

    When I do this I can hear the starter gears rotating so I think you're right. I assume removing and reinstalling the starter will fix this?

    I got a little aggressive while starting the tractor and now it won't crank. What I did was "Double Pump" my push button starter. Basically trying to start it while it was still spinning. I did this a few times and during one of the tries it made a shorting out sound (like a zzzzz type sound)...
