MF 65 water pump pulley slipping on shaft

One of the things I did to this tractor was replace the water pump. I had to have to pulley pressed on the new water pump. I was letting it run for a while today for the first time, and the fan blades began clicking against the housing. It looks like the pulley has moved front because the fan...

    picture of my 65

I wanted to show where I'm at on this tractor. It's been a learning experience. I appreciate the help I got on this forum. The ps cylinder works! Amazingly enough. New standard rod and 2 main bearings. Runs good.

    power steering cylinder

The power steering cylinder was leaking, so I am rebuilding it. The book says there are screw nails in the cylinder body. Can someone tell be how to deal with them? I didn't see a felt washer in the seal kit I got. Might it be ok if I replace all the seals except the ones behind the screw...

    breather tube

Does anyone know where I could get a tube assembly, breather 1753816M91 ? this is for a 1958 MF 65 gas tractor. It attaches to the valve cover. Mine is mostly corroded away, and in the parts book it looks like it extends down close to the front pulley. Thanks

G 176 rod and main bearing torque specs

So, I guess I will order a shop manual. I am wondering how I will split the tractor with floor jacks. I hope that if I get it apart I can find the right parts. I'll try to review as many of these posts here as I can. It had a new clutch recently. It doesn't have a whole lot of time since it...

G 176 rod and main bearing torque specs

Thank you Tractor expert and Tractor Guru for the responses. My plan indeed was to replace the rod bearings because I thought I might have heard a knock one time, and while I am doing that, I thought I'd go ahead and replace the front and middle mains. I was not considering splitting the...

G 176 rod and main bearing torque specs

I've spent some time looking for the rod and main bearing torque specs for my 1958 MF 65 gas with a Continental G 176 engine. I have not been able to find them. Being a newbee, I might not know where to look. I should be getting the bearings today. Any help would be appreciated.

Massey-Harris 35 pull type combine, or Massey 300?

I found this thread and thought you might be interested: https://forums.yesterdaystractors.com/viewtopic.php?p=11099147&highlight=clutch+replace#11099147 I have no opinion on the combine, but it reminds me of my buying an old McCormick baler when I...

Massey-Harris 35 pull type combine, or Massey 300?

I wouldn't want to run any equipment without getting that live PTO working right.

Massey-Harris 35 pull type combine, or Massey 300?

As far as the PTO is concerned, I would first check that the PTO engagement lever is properly installed. For example, I removed the lever / cover plate to inspect the differential on my MF 65. After reinstalling it, I found that the lever was not engaged with the gear, although the lever felt...

    MF65 Paint Colors

Here is a picture of my 1958 mf 65. I am going to start painting it. I've done some research. I'd like to get the colors correct, but I am considering using the mf gray and mf red from TSC. My Father bought this tractor new, and kept it greased and oiled. I took this picture to show that the...
