battery sparks 1951 8n positive ground

No, its easy. Someone from the forum here once had a step by step guide that made it impossible to mess up. If I can find the old link later Ill post it. Otherwise you can use google images and several diagrams come up that will make it easy as well.

Told the boss I do not overnight...

My job has me away from home about half the time. By the standard were using to judge this fellow, I should be a hero! If someone wants to prioritize being in their own bed at night, that doesnt mean theyre the type thats looking to get out of work. I prefer being at home but I also despise...

    2N for sale locally...

I mowed 5 acres behind the house for years with an 8n and it was a great mower with a 5 bush hog. I had a 6 and 10 mower that felt like work with bigger tractors so I rarely used them around the house. Having good steering makes a difference but with the weight of a mower on the back you should...

9N has me stumped. No spark on cylinder 3?

I had the #2 cylinder not firing after replacing the coil and points the other day and it was because it was shorting to the fuel line. It was jumping through the insulation, you can probably guess how I figured that out. I dont know if it could do that from #3 or not but it may be one thing...

    Left the key on

Thats what I found. Yellowy wax on the side of the coil and dripped all underneath. I picked up a new one and replaced the points and plug wires while I had it off. Tomorrow Ill know if I did it right or not. Thanks for everyones help.

    Left the key on

I had it shut down on the trailer and decided to shift it back a little bit. It was flooded so I left it where it was, and I guess I left the key on too. Ive done that a few times on my other 8n but Ive gotten away with it until now. Thanks everybody, is there a way to test the coil? I was...

    Left the key on

Hi folks, I used to be a regular visitor here but got busy with life and have somehow managed to keep all my tractors running with few problems. Until today. I brought my 48 8n front-mount up to the house from the farm and left the key on overnight. It was running great before but now wont...

    Model T

The rim on one side rusted and rotted out. The side pictured is in much better shape. I can probably make do with moving it around with my FE loader but if I can find an easy and cheap replacement I?ll go that route instead. Thanks to all for the replies, I figured this board would know...

    Model T

That s what I m finding from my Google search. I was just hoping to find something compatible. The trailer holds a smoker so it only moves around the yard.

    Model T

I was told these were Model T wheels, but I can verify that. They?re on a trailer and I need to replace them, does anyone recognize them and know if I can replace them with an 8N hub and wheels?

    Tractor warning lights

Around here the Amish have the two sided red/amber lights for use at night. Red faces the rear. I like being able to tell from a distance which direction they?re heading.

OT Sprayed Clover in the Lawn Today

That's a nice looking yard. What kind of grass is that? My Bermuda didn't make it and I need a cool season replacement. Clover would take over my yard if I didn't spray it to keep it in check.
