    Power Reverser Shift Linkage Problem

Have a 2000 model 4600 power reverser tractor. This winter the constant shifting back and forth plowing snow brought forth a problem where the power reverser would stick in reverse and not be able to shift anymore. I could make it work by shutting down, grabing the shifter linkage wiggling it...

    Opinion and ideas

I am in the process of splitting my 640 between the engine and transmission. It is separated all around the joint except at the hydraulic pump manifold site. The manifold is part of the engine casting and is bolted to the transmission casting at that site. I have removed the bolts, but it is...

    Littlr Genius #8 INSTRUCTION PRIMER

If this rain ever stops here in PA I will take some pics. I am guessing that the frozen lever on the drive wheel side may only move when the plow is moving? And Would this be because the drive wheel turns the gears that some how lift or lower the shares? Is there a trip mechanism that I am...

    Littlr Genius #8 INSTRUCTION PRIMER

I found out the old piece of equipment that came with my farm is a Little Genius #8 2-14? steel wheel plow. I plan on working on a corn field and would like to give it a try. While there are a lot of pictures around I see little information on what the levers do. Here is a description: Two long...

    801 Hood Major Issue

Some background: I bought an 801 for backhoe and loader in New Jersey many years ago. It looks good but the tractor came with a 68 Jeep 4 cylinder, no gas tank, no hood grill, no bumper, missing PS pump, smashed bell housing (to get the jeep starter in),smashed front engine cradle (to allow...

100 Series air intake grill Type of screw?

I guess my nut must have slipped or gotten out of the view fthrough the hole. If I remove the two screws on the intake tube will the entire assembly come off to service the missing nut?

100 Series air intake grill Type of screw?

On my 841 hood side panel I do not see a hole with threads on the air grill mount. I can see what looks like a flat wall located about 1/4 inch behind the hole. Is there, perhaps, a miss alignment? What kind of screw secures the grill?

801 Owner need pics of DECALS LOCATIONS.

George told me that applying decals on the 100 series tractors was not set in stone till many years later. Often assemblers would wing it on the assembly line and they are often moved from where people think they should be. I followed the instructions on the 800 series for under the hood...

801 Owner need pics of DECALS LOCATIONS.

An 841 had a 172 engine to begin with. The term Re-power generally means, at least to me, that the original engine was replaced with something different. In my case I am correct. When I bought the backhoe it came with a 1968 CJ5 engine. (sheet metal crank pulley) (starter on opposite side)...

801 Owner need pics of DECALS LOCATIONS.

I have an 841 - originally a Sherman Back Hoe and Ford LOADER. I have Re-powered with a 172 engine. Installed all Hydraulics and 3 point. Have it running with no major issues. And was amazed that my transplanted hydraulics and piston pump immediately lifted the 3 point without hiccups...
