    upgrading my international 1460 combine

I had the same thought many times when I had my 1460. Glad I didn't spend the time or money. The motor and hydro shaft went out at the same time and all that work and money would have been wasted on that machine. Sold it for salvage and had enough money for the first years payment on a 1660.

    D-19 power steering pump pulley

The power steering pump pulley fell off my D-19 today. I don't think I will find it. It had been welded on the shaft 25 years ago when the threads broke off and I will do the same again. If someone has a D-19 gasser can they measure the outside diameter of the pulley so I can find the right...

    Deere and IHC rake parts

I have not been able to find clips for my old IH rake. Only at the case IH store and they are expensive. I have gone online and searched catalogs and can only find New Holland, but they do not look right. Teeth I can find and they are cheaper than the clips. I may need to find a junk old rake or...

    IH 800 planter down pressure

I plant a friends corn in soybean stubble and beans in the corn stalks. This year a neighbor hauled manure on the corn stalks and was not always able to get the planter to penetrate in the heavier traveled areas. I am not sure how much to increase the down pressure and how. According to the book...

    303 bean head

I had an opportunity to buy my first combine back about four years ago. It was an early IH 303. Got it running and did some minor repairs. With shed space being short, I sold it to a neighbor who hobby farms about four acres of corn. I delivered the bean head on my hay rack the corn head was on...

    Old fox head pickup attachment

Decided to get it out today, give it a bath and take some photos. I had a local welding shop make it for me. Fits 15 series IH combines. Would also fit some of the rotaries. Never tried it on a real heavy windrow but worked well for the couple years I used it. Powered by the hydraulic reel drive.

    Old fox head pickup attachment

Northeast Iowa West of West Union, I will try to dig it out of the machine shed this week and photograph it. It would easily haul in the back of a pickup truck.

    Old fox head pickup attachment

I have a old fox windrow head that I had had modified to fit a 715 with a quick tach head. It would fit many other combines. I used it for a couple years to combine windrowed oats twenty years ago and then quit raising oats. I used a reel hydraulic motor to power it. Wondering if somebody in...

    Mccormick reaper

Nice find and excellent condition. I have one quite similar, I narrowed down its production date to 1913 based on the parts book and the the unique casting numbers for that year. The main drive wheel has a casting no. that might narrow down its production date as they changed the wheel different...

    belt dressing for flat belt

I had an experienced thresherman recommend Crown belt dressing in the quarts. I and our engine club have been using it for our belt powered equipment. Not messy and effective. I found it online and ordered it. Good stuff.

    McCormick Deering PTO binder

The part number is B 2482. I also need a spring for the bundle carrier SE 297. Probably could come up with a short list of things I could manufacture but would prefer the original parts if reasonable.

    McCormick Deering PTO binder

Yes I have the parts number and will try the warehouse. My dealer does the same thing. I was hoping for someone with a donor machine or who might have one hanging in the machine shed. I have noticed the inventory of the parts warehouse is not what it used to be, I will try them tomorrow.
