Elenco 4x4 on Ford 801 Swap

Well there is basically no sheet metal to speak of, gas tank is off something else entirely and really poorly installed. Worst off all it needs a new flywheel, this one has a bad spot with no teeth left that I found while compression checking it. If I could find a tractor to just supply...

Elenco 4x4 on Ford 801 Swap

I was thinking of going either really aggressive vintage truck tires like it has or maybe r1 tractor tires front and back. Like all my old tractors it will be parade and show only really so look is my only concern.

Elenco 4x4 on Ford 801 Swap

Well at this point it looks like I?m going to get the loader off the tractor first and get it running to asses how it is mechanically. Was told it was running great when parked 10 years ago and it?s free with good compression so it should be easy. Most of the stuff I mess with is stuck so this...

Elenco 4x4 on Ford 801 Swap

Well it might be easier to just get a parts tractor and try restoring the one it?s already on. Tractor supposedly ran well just been outside for many years. If I replaced all the tin and just keep the drivetrain it?s already attached to that might be the easiest path.

Elenco 4x4 on Ford 801 Swap

I have recently acquired a rough looking ford 801 with a loader and elenco 4x4. I plan on getting a better 801 and restoring it with the 4x4 unit. My question is whether or not anything is different in the rear end or transmission on the tractor to accommodate the 4x4, ie do I need to take...

    Ford 8160 Electrical problems

Im going to pick up the tractor with a lowboy this weekend and bring it back to my place. I think Ill check in the diagrams to find where the splitting plugs are exactly and check it before I load it up. It sure would be nice if I could drive it up on the trailer. A plug makes sense...

    Ford 8160 Electrical problems

Its weird because in my brief time messing with it so far the dash randomly came on and worked correctly for a while and the previous owner said once in a great while everything would start to work. My real question I guess is would the pto resort to being in gear when power is lost, because...

    Ford 8160 Electrical problems

I bought this tractor used, runs great and I bought it knowing it had lots of electrical problems. Nothing except the starter works. The PTO is stuck engaged, none of the gauges work, radio doesn"t work, climate control for the cab doesn"t work, trans wont shift at all. I mean nothing works...

    farmall f-12 cooling fan

I'll call fordson house tomorrow, mine has a zerk for grease on it. I used high temp synthetic grease sparingly but it still flows out. I think it may be the seal you are talking about because it seems to be getting worse the more I run it.

    farmall f-12 cooling fan

I have a 1934 farmall f-12. I restored it last year including a complete engine rebuild. It is used occasionally on the farm a well as parades and such. Last weekend my dad and I were driving tractors in a christmas parade and the farmall was running for about two hours straight during the...

TO20 TE20 Cracked block Epidemic STUDY topic.

when I bought my to-20 the block was cracked between each cylinder and a large external chunk missing, I know for a fact it did not have anti-freeze in it only water. I replaced with a salvage yard block and rebuilt internals and it has been great and trust me I push it to the limit, I do not...

    2N hood removal?

I have never taken the steering wheel off of any n-series Ford before removing the hood. The Steering wheel may need to come off for the dash to be removed but not the hood. The only time removing the hood is difficult is if a loader is involved.
