    I didn't have to do any modification on the dust cap, it should basically drop in there. Like I said in an earlier post that im very happy I throw the points away, tractor runs much much better.

    Was actually going to pick up a meter today, honestly I've never needed one in the past.

    It was kind of like static, but only for a split second. As it turns out it was the rotor button, runs fine now.

    don't have meter to check voltage at coil. I disconnected the hot wire from coil and ran jumper wire to hot side of battery, I can here the current inside of the cap at the EI but it still is not sending fire to the plugs.

    Im new here so I may do this wrong. I replaced the points with solid state ignition yr before last. I was very happy with the results so much so that I even installed one in my 172. Tractor ran much smother and could even idle it down lower then I could with the points. Fast forward to...
