    4240 / 4250 cab upholstery interchangabilty

    Will the upholstery for a 4250 cab fit a 4240 (late model 1981) cab with no issues? I would like the tan color better as someone suggested in my earlier post. Is the headliner the same as well? Thanks for any input.

    4240 cab kit installation / seat removal

    I read in the archives some of the pointers y'all mention. This is my first one to do. I see with the tackiness of the adhesive it's a one time shot or risk wrinkling. Also read the advise about not glueing the upper lip by the window. Makes sense to test fit everyhing first.

    I want to install a new cab kit in my 4240. The foam is gone in the old one. What is involvled in pulling the hydraulic seat out of the way? Looking at a K&M kit. Is the Fehr brand any better? Thanks.

    2950 good or bad

    Thanks for all the replys. I will probably go look at it but will probably wait for a nice 40/42/4440 to come along instead. They seem to be near bullet proof.

    Replacing manifold gaskets

    I need to replace the exhaust manifold gaskets on an 1850 diesel but am concerned that the 3/8 stud bolts may twist off. Is there a right way to remove the nuts without fear of this happening? Should I heat them with a small torch first? Thanks for any replys.

    MF 35 operating temp

    What is the normal operating temp of a MF 35 with the perkins diesel engine when working it with a 5' bush hog? I'm thinking about 190 f but would like to know for sure.
