I can I use tractor with ballast in only 1 rear tire?

Looks like the old sodium chloride is good for killing the grass FOREVER in the yard and anywhere you rolled the tire to load it up. I have a 5" circle of brown followed by 3 foot strips of brown every 10 feet across the lawn! Looks like a passing one on the highway. Lesson learned. Thanks guys!

I can I use tractor with ballast in only 1 rear tire?

Thanks, My property is dead flat river bottom land. Closest thing you could call a hill is 2 miles away. I just gotta get it bush hogged and then I fill the tire. This weekend is suppose to be cooler and less humid so if I can get it remounted tomorrow i'll be hogging on sunday.

I can I use tractor with ballast in only 1 rear tire?

Hey ya'll, Would it be okay to have the tire mounted and run one tire with ballast and one without? Also would it matter if one was filled to 75% and I fill this one to 40%?? Had a tube pop on the back of my old Ford 2000. The fluid ate my rim up. So I got new replacement wheel and...

Is one starter relay better than another??

Thanks for the reply, but the battery is stored at home on a smart charger. I thought it could have been the battery Just to be sure I checked it with a hydrometer and tested it with a 100amp load tester. Battery is 3 years old and all cells were good and the load tester showed over 800cca, way...

Is one starter relay better than another??

I have a Ford 2000 1966 Gas. I'm getting ready to replace my 3rd starter relay in 4 years. I doe not use the tractor a dozen times per year. I know they are not that expensive but this is getting pretty boring. Is there a brand that is better than the others or a type of car relay that would...

    Ford 2000 tractor throttle issue

I was having the same issue I think. Here is a video of it. It is towards the end. For the life of me I could not figure it out. Then one day I started it up and shot a mouse to the moon out of the exhaust followed by the nest that was like a wadding in a shotgun. I could not figure how the...

Bought 2 plows at Auction. Did I do Okay??

Thanks for the reassurance. By me saying I know nothing about plows I mean nothing. I know what moldboards and coulters are and what they do but the rest is a foreign language. Frogs, Trip Backs, and Shares, you might as well told me to check the muffler bearings and canooter valves. I got...

    apparently a 1966 Ford 2000 with issues

Guys it has been a while. Brought the old girl home to try to get things right. Scrubbed the numbers and I believe what I thought was a 1968 is actually a 1966. Tractor prrrrs at idle. Put a load on it like a bush hog and it starts surging. Here is what I posted a couple of years...

    68 Ford 2000 vs Massey Ferg 65

I sure hope it does. That would be great. the reason I said i think it does not is that the owner and my father-in law says it is a bear to turn, but I also know my Father-in-law does not use brake pedals to assist turning.

    68 Ford 2000 vs Massey Ferg 65

Thanks, My Ford2000 is a 4 gear and I have to do 1/2 laps to keep RPMs up. I only get to bushhog about once a month if that often. I have no clue what people are talking about rolling backwards and "multipower". Are you saying the high/low gear ranges go out? I am a flat lander, no real hills to...

    68 Ford 2000 vs Massey Ferg 65

Thanks for the input guys. the area I bush hog can be 3+ feet tall at times and brushy depending on when I can first get to it in the spring of the year. I love the little Ford 2000, it has had some issues that are now solved but just seems undersized for the attachments I have. I'll try to post...
