    Rebuild almost done! Head question

There are posts on this site addressing this problem. Something to the affect of applying grease to the top of the piston and slowly turning the engine by hand (with head gasket, no torque) grind accordingly! My opinion...has worked for me for 20 plus years...2 gaskets with copper spray between...

    timing adjustment for ford 9N

lol If it ran before conversion, then, if nothing is grounded to the dist housing...should fire! Make sure you have a good ground! If in doubt put some milk on it! Then hold the neighbors cat! When the cat starts likin' turn the key!!!! If you both pee at the same time you are almost there!

I am in south Alabama! You must pick it up but it is going cheap! Times are tough. $10 a hundred for scrap is not deserving of this collection!

    9n rear wheels and tires

Wheels and tires on Pawpaws old 9n #684 are original, I think? Rears anyway. 9.5-32 Is this right for OEM? Tires a little cracked but, still holding air in firestone "field and farm"! Are these OEM too? They were flat, aired em up 3 weeks ago after sitting for 20+ years holding strong! Cleaned...

    Plow for '39 9N

Looking for opinions on what plow would be best to pull with my 9N (3 speed, of course). In south Alabama, with light clay and sand mix. One or two bottom and what size?? Little less than an acre to plow. Still lots of power in the old girl, but I don"t wanna kill her! Thanks to all replies. Rusty

    Moisure in oil filler neck

What causes and can I prevent the "water in oil" look at the filler tube on the engine on Gussie? No water in crankcase, radiator, etc. Pull the vent cap off watery oil. 9N 684 Rusty

    9N Choke

Your choke is supposed to return as soon as you let go! If all is right choke should be applied for just a couple of seconds and release! "On my '39, pull the choke, hit the starter, release the choke! Boom, she's running!" It should start in as much time as it takes to read what is in quotes! Rusty

    6 ft. bush hog

Sure! It can handle it!! My first time hooking it to my brand new (to me) '39 9N, it cost me a bed side and tailgate on my '07 Chevy! So, yes a Ford 9N can, with the front wheels set just right, Kick a Chevy,s BUTT (about 48" in the air, as my ins. adjuster put it) JUST FINE!!!! Rusty

    1941 9n

Won"t be your last cracked square can coil if you don"t replace that bad ignition switch! Or you just left it on for a few seconds! Not saying that is the case, but I bought 3 coils ($30 ea)BECAUSE OF A BAD $5 ,as Dell says weak sister switch!! I have since started removing the positive cable...
