    Re: Super h serial number

Guessing the tractor number was in the 10900 to 11000 range. But Pat is pretty good at knowing what they were if that's the original engine number. I tried him out with one once that still had the tractor serial number. With the engine number he nailed it exactly or vice versa. May have give...

How much torque on belly pump housing bolts?

Patrick if you mean the cover with pump that bolts to the rear of the liftall reservoir. The holes are blind so if it was leaking at the top bolt the housing is cracked or its leaking between the housing and gasket to the bolt then out around it. Large bolts the 7/16 ones probably don't need...

    IH 350 All fuel

Look back to page 6 of classic at the discussion heading that starts, what exactly is distillate fuel. Depending on how fast you look it could be to page 7 or more.

    53 louisville super m

Tractors serial number L 504802 and higher could be equipped with countershaft driven hydraulics or engine driven hydraulics. Chassis and controls had several changes made at 504802 and higher to accept the engine driven hydraulics but they could still be equipped with hydraulics both ways.

    460 axle clamps

At least a 4 foot cheater on a good wrench or heavy ratchet and socket is needed some times. Heavy duty impact works also. If you have a powerful enough impact the rim can be removed from the wheel and a extension used on the impact to get the bolts on the recessed side of the wheel. Go down...

    Super H

Can't beat the price, take it. Some stage one SH tractors changed over to that bolster before stage two tractors started. Some tractors around 3000 or so serial numbers below stage 2 serial number start. Also that's the replacement bolster IH sold for most H to 350 farmalls after they started...

    Farmall 450 rear diff fluid

Bottom of the hole at a square head 1/2 inch pipe plug located on the mid left side of the tractor ahead of the clutch pedal. If refilling after draining, check another plug on the same side below the starter to make sure the oil is leveled out. Hy tran oil is recommended now with a t/a...

    farmall 350 ID

16305 = year 1958 if its a 350. S = tractor came with a T/A and internal parts for a IPTO drive. U = the tractor came with higher compression pistons than standard, intended for higher elevation use. Long axles were a option. Standard rim size for a farmall was 38 inch. Tractor was probably...

    MTA brakes locked up

If the brakes, back the adjusting bolts out and loosen the five bolts retaining the covers. Sitting for long periods without moving in some climates gets rust in some transmission parts even with oil. Not uncommon for the brakes to stick though. Make sure the transmission is in neutral and the...

    M starter switch

Starting switch actuating lever bracket 351924R1, and lever 351922R11. They were originally part of hydraulic seat attachment 351928R1,2,etc. 45 M should have the rear fuel tank support 51137DA for the starting lever to work if the correct length switch is installed. IH made so many starting or...

    M starter switch

Don't remember a serial number break right now, but early tractors came with the pin through the steering support post. Used ones can be found pretty easy. Put a wanted ad in the classified section or look on flee bay.

    Farmall H ?

Prefix before a H engine serial number starts with FB. Power unit UB. W-4=WB. I-4=IB. If the oil pan doesn't have plugs in the oil petcock holes a pan from or for a 55 model engine or newer was added. Maybe why they installed a dipstick. If I remember correct the power units have a different...

    Farmall H ?

Think you missed some letters before the engine serial number. But 6695DE is a block casting number for a H and the serial number shows the engine came in a 1944 H serial # 157058. Dipstick was added sometime after the tractor was built.
