    730 top transmission shaft 2

I was successful with using a new bearing that was close to the correct size. Then machining a bushing on the shaft after it was pressed on the shaft with a interference fit. As I recall the snap ring just barely extended to maybe hold the bushing in place. It has been in service form 8 -10...

NH 55 Rolabar Rake Inout Shaft Yoke issue

I have had the same problem with damaged seal area. My solution was to just lubricate it with regular grease and replaced the fill plug with a grease zerk and give it 6 pumps every time we grease it.

    New Holland 320 baler

Have a well used NH 320 baler that randomly makes long bales. Is there an easy fix? Should I replace the trip arm and or the disk?

JD 830 pony motor oil leak

There are many places to leak on a pony motor. Crankshaft seal on both ends, water pump shaft oil seal (behind water pump), bottom cover gasket, oil pump gasket, the transmission has gaskets and seals that could be leaking as well. Dont forget the top engine covers on the main engine could also...

JD 830 pony motor exhaust pipe

I clean the tube and hole that the tube goes into to an oil free condition then apply red “high temp” silicone and allow it to cure before starting the pony.

At some point the pony was updated to include a thermostat and a bypass line.

    70 diesel pony

The water tube has 2 o-rings 1 at the pony and 1 at the manifold. Sometimes they are hard to get out. Try some heat from a propane torch. The pony exhaust is only held in place with a clamp and may be rusted in place. Try some heat there as well. Also try several heat and cool cycles as it may...

    Clutch fork shaft

I recomend measuring the shaft at the largest point with a micrometer and measuring the bore where the bushing goes with a snap gauge and micrometer and have one made from oilite. This will tighten up the clearance and remove some play. Dont forget about the small bushing on the bottom.

still need help on pony oil leak

I had the same problem on my 720 Diesel. It turned out to be the oil seal behind the pony motor water pump. Not an easy job to do.

    720 Load control Yoke seal

The IT Manual has a drawing complete with all the dimensions to make one. I also machined a tool from round stock to install the new seal without damaging it.

new holland 55 hay rake lubeing the bars

This is what I just did to my New Holland 55 and my Neighbors. I drilled a small hole about 3/16" diameter in the center of the rounded area where the bearing is installed. Then installed press in type grease zerks on both ends of all 5 bars. I only give them 1 shot of grease per season. It sure...

    730 3pt oil leak

Yes I had the John Deere service manual for the hydralics. I found that the welch plugs did not need to be removed. I did fabricate a tool to hold the dashpot in place. The I&T manual has a good diagram for making the tool. There was no real good way explained on how to remove and install the...

    730 3pt oil leak

It's a big job. you will need to replace the lip seal and or the bushings. However the bushings are no longer avaliable from Deere. You will have to get some one to machine you some if needed. It is very diffcult to remove the load control yoke F3257R due to the tight clearance and heavy duty...
