    Aftermarket brake shaft, mislabeled or mis-made?

    I ordered a brake pedal shaft for the SMD, looked up part number 357046R1 on the CaseIH site, ordered from an aftermarket source by that number, and the package came with that number on the label. As the photo illustrates, with the right hand ends matched up, the left hand end is all wrong...

    Super M brake pedal shaft removal

    It gets tight when I try to slide it out. Have pedals, etc. off both sides, cleaned/deburred exposed ends of shaft. Shaft rotates freely and moves back and forth freely an inch or two, then gets very tight. Do I just drive it on out of there?

    Front end looks funny...

    Arranging the pedestal like this results in negative caster in the front end. Those wheels will try their dead level best to spin themselves back around when you're driving forward, just like a shopping cart wheel does.
