Bleeding cylinder on a two hydraulic hose plow.

This should do it. I went out this morning to try and determine what solution I would need to get the plow operating with the Allis 190. Before unhooking, I thought I would try to operate the plow one more time. Wa La . Works perfect. Possible like you all said, air in the lines. I don't think...

Bleeding cylinder on a two hydraulic hose plow.

That thought occured to me also. Might try a few more things first. Of course the baler is pushed into the back of the building, and yes it is a pain to unhook the plow - but I am out of options. Will try that tomorrow. So, Coon Rapids, I'm a bit farther north- Hinckley. Thanks for the help. Dan

Bleeding cylinder on a two hydraulic hose plow.

One last time. After moving cylinder rod multiple times hooked to little tractor, disconnected it and hooked once again to the 190. Same results. As I moved the hydraulic lever, I could hear the pressure surge, but cylinder rod would not move. After moving lever to release pressure and waiting...

Bleeding cylinder on a two hydraulic hose plow.

OK. hooked the plow hydraulic cylinder to the d 17 . Works perfect. Cylinder rod extends and retracts as it should. If there is air in the plow hydraulic cylinder- extending and retracting might purge the air in the cylinder if that is the problem ? Working with 50 yr old equipment is never...

Bleeding cylinder on a two hydraulic hose plow.

I'm going with CREEPY. The plow has been setting for at least one year and I haven't used the hydraulics on the 190 for a year also. Later today I will hook the plow to another tractor and see what happens. I have used that tractor with that plow in the past, so it did work together at one time...

Bleeding cylinder on a two hydraulic hose plow.

OK. I disconnected the ram. As I said before-it extended about one inch. Came back to check later in the evening and it was fully extended.Unable to retract it now. If I disconnect the lines from the tractor and push on the check balls to release some pressure ,will the ram, will I be able to...

Bleeding cylinder on a two hydraulic hose plow.

Hooked up my Allis 190 to older 5 bottom plow. No movement when trying to engage system to lift up back of plow. After disconnecting ram from plow I get about 1 inch travel on the ram. Fluids are good, thinking air in the lines. I guess I could hook up the plow to another tractor just to see if...

Well,I'm stumped. Installed the new cable ( made sure it was in the anchor slots) Hooked up to a soil finisher and tried the hydraulics. Nothing. The inner braided steel cable pulled out of the plastic cover. Was able to slide it back inside. Its as if the steel cable is to long.Moving the inside...

The hydraulic remote cable on my Allis 7040 broke in the cab.I was able to find the part and installed the new cable. It seemed as though I had installed it correctly but when I attach a implement ,I am unable to get the hydraulics to lift. The cable behind the tractor is attached to a plate on a...

    vermeer baler

That sounds like a fairly easy procedure. I wasn't sure if the new pin/lacing would be hard to install. Doing one belt at a time would simplify the job. Thanks Dan

had time today to try and break in the torque limiter. Followed instructions but was unable to get the engine to kill. 12 or 13 time at full throttle, then hard brakes. Nothing. Is the tractor good to use for plowing now or did I miss something?Could the torque limiter have been broken in because...
