    Drum brakes don't work after rebuild

    The spring near the adjuster looks wrong to me and I don't see anything to move the adjuster when in use. I think you need a manual with a good picture of the assembly. I've never worked on a Ford tractor but if the brakes are similar to automotive ones you can accidently swap self adjusters...

    The level check is on the left side of the transmission. It's a small pile plug inconveniently located behind the brake rod. You should buy an operators manual and a service manual as their are other maintenance items you may miss. Dave

    Farmall B battery box

    Yes those box's are hard to work with and the holes for the bottom mounts need to be filed elongated to get the bolts in. I always tie the clutch pedal down as that's in the way. But that should be the only thing in the way. Then put the battery in the box and put the box in place Dave

    Blocked off hydraulic pump on A farmall

    If not using the hydraulics I would remove the pump, which I'm sure is shot, and put a blank cover over the hole. That cover or plate was a factory option. Dave
