    Cattails

    Sometimes water hemp can grow in a mix with cattails, so make sure the root is actually from the cattail; water hemp is highly toxic.

    If they properly install the proper tube side, there should be no folds. They may not want to take the time to do it right.

    I have three Kubotas and the closest sound I've heard like that was when the water pump was going bad. It also could be a valve adjustment needed.

    Roofing question - limited access to drive nails

    In limited space like that I have used a stiff crowbar; place the flat part on the nail and strike the bar with the hammer where it comes out of the small area.

    Lacing wire

    My machine shop told me the same thing - wires aren't needed. Since Henry Ford wired my engine, I wired it too before installation. I wonder if the machine shop just didn't want to put in the effort.
