    Gentlemen, thanks for your responses. This tractor belonged to a good friend, who passed away after a heart attack. Seems like 'refurbished' is a more accurate title than 'restored'. And the price is high too. I'll talk with his wife and see what she says.

    8N clutch on the way out, or just needs adjusting?

    My trusty 1952 8N's clutch now seems to grab when I slowly lift my foot off the clutch pedal. Clutch doesn't slip at all, but does not engage gently. Does it need to be adjusted, or is it on the way out? Your ideas appreciated.

    Fuel shut off leaks after a while. Seems like the tiny green ring inside just fails. Does any manufacturer make a quality shut off - and what brand? Have tried 'made in China' shut off but it fails easily. I removed that rivet on the base of the shut off, put in fuel rated O rings, tapped the...

    Dust - interesting idea. The brakes are not that dirty, but I've cleaned the whole assembly and will see what happens this morning.

    Dean, it squeals for the first 20 minutes of use, and stops if I dab the brakes, then starts again. It does stop for a while after several revolutions, but then starts up again.
