O.T. ANYBODY works on older Jeeps ? need HELP !!!

Make sure you have calipers installed correctly. If the bleeder screw is on the bottom of the caliper you will never get all the air out, do not ask me how I know. Calipers on 89 F150 can be reversed and work except for very soft pedal.

Had a YT fellow help my daughter today

Best dirt in the world is located in western Iowa and somewhere in China. It's called Loess soil. Pronounced "Luss". Wind blown and dropped in Iowa. Good place to raise kids and play with red tractors. I enjoyed watching gmccool's kids grow up. Tell them hello, and give yourself a pat on the...

    W6 with new winter coat

The power steering on the W6 is driven by a small hydraulic pump on the front of the tractor where you would hand crank the engine. Neighbor told me the unit on the steering wheel with 4 hydraulic hoses is a Charlynn power steering unit. The steering wheel shaft fits inside the unit that is...

    W6 with new winter coat

Finished painting neighbor's tractor. 1947 McCormick Deering W6 with add on power steering and live hydraulics. Took 6 months of weekends to finish. I have learned how to cut and buff orange peel (lots of practice) and also learned I could never make a living at this. I sure enjoyed neighbor's...

    gravel lane

You do not know my wife. She is stubborn and rarely leaves the place. I am tired of tracking mud into my mancave garage where I hang out on the weekends. Any ideas how to motivate a stubborn wife?

    gravel lane

I have a 400 foot lane that I maintain with my 1086. I live in Southwest Iowa and have Loess soil. This soil swallows gravel and will eat 3inch rock in short time. Have any of you used Geotex or similar barrier to keep the gravel on top of the soil? My wife will not let me pave the lane because...

    Swallowing Farmall A

Hello Greg, I work at Creighton Psychiatry on 35 and dodge. Could probably throw a cow pie and hit your home from work. I live in Neola and commute to Omaha. If I remember right, I think you might be the finish carpenter I have seen on this forum. I have read this forum everyday for years...

    Swallowing Farmall A

I found this picture showing mother earth trying to eat my tractor. Luckily no one was hurt and no damage to the tractor. For those in the midwest, have fun with the expected first meaningful snow this year and be safe plowing. We are expecting 4-6 inches in the Omaha, NE area starting...

    Alternator ripoff

I have a 2003 Chevrolet Duramax 6.6 liter diesel that I use to haul the 560 and M. It has dual alternators from the factory and the local parts guy cannot find the correct alternators. I spoke with a diesel mechanic who believes the amp output is different for each alternator. Local Chevy...

    1086

Our 1086 is used all year long. We split this large elm trunk on Christmas day. The weather here in southwest Iowa is wonderful.

    1086 a/c

I had to replace a steel a/c line on the 1086. It is a 134 system. I attempted to recharge the system but have a question about the valves that are present on the low and high pressure schrader valve. Do I turn these valves clockwise or counter clockwise to open and do you close them after...
