What Spark Plugs for a Red Diamond engine?
I can't find information anywhere on maintenance for my International Red Diamond engine. I believe it is a 450 , but I am in need of new spark plugs so any help would be greatly appreciatted Also a good coil referal would be appreciated- davisford

0 compression? Adjust valves?
Tried 3 gauges. None of them move ???? But I feel lots of pressure at cyl 1 and 4 and good at 3 , little at cyl 2 weird. It has new head gasket but I applied it dry without any sealant, thought that was normal. I did not have head machined This time when starting it , it backfired 2 or 3 times... -

The distributor was never out, or adjusted. I am adjusting the valves, or trying. I found Tdc on cyl 1 I can see the piston and felt the compression, plus rotor is pointing towards #1 plug wire. Now if I turn the engine with ratchet clockwise ( same direction it goes when I press... -

determining Head on 660 tractor

piston rings different? Ford 660
I have my pistons out of my ford 660 tractor (gas). The middle piston rings in the kit I ordered are different than the ones that were on there. The NEW middle ring is a little thicker, while the older one was a 2 piece, AND there was a "wiggly" ring underneath the on the old one. Which is...- davisford

Engine knock, Ford 660
OK I pulled off the oil pan. The connecting rod for the piston (closest to drivers seat) was actually off! One of the bolts was loose in the oil pan, it was really bent, the nut must have worked loose. The other bolt was still attached, but loose and also bent a bit. The bearing material was...- davisford

Engine knock, Ford 660
I have read a few reports that a loose gear on the hyd pump can sound similar. How would I check that too? (in case I don't find metal in oil pan or anything obvious under valve cover.- davisford

Oil gauge is showing nothing. But I am not 100%, that it was operating, I have only used in half dozen times. (I would assume it was working but not sure) Oil on dipstick does not have silver sheen or anything on it. Can't tell where it is coming from front or rear, just real loud. I didn't...- davisford
