806 Shifter Shaft hi/low
thanks caterpillar guy! I pulled the back cover off and I can get to pilot hole to change the shaft. Appreciate it! I'm going to try your method with heater hose when new shaft comes in.- Dawsonkrull

I have removed the cover and i can see that it cant be changed from here. Now my question is do i have to split tractor to slide out from the front or can I remove the seat cover and slide it from there.- Dawsonkrull

806 Shifter Shaft hi/low
I'm looking for some advice on how to change the shifter shaft on my 806. The shaft broke in 2 where the hole is in the shaft where the gear selector slides. Will I have to split the tractor, remove the seat housing, or can it be changed from range cover?- Dawsonkrull
