    Moving a TO20 with no hydraulic/transmission oil

Thanks. I just wanted to be sure I wouldn't mess something up.

    Moving a TO20 with no hydraulic/transmission oil

I need to drive it out of the shed about 20 feet. I recently drained the hydraulic/transmission case, but need it outside so I have more room to work on it. I hate to fill it up and then drain it again 5 minutes later. I am assuming there is still a lot of residual oil on the transmission gears...

TO20 lift control fork, valve connection

Thanks for the information. It looks like I will have to remove the tire and fender to get in a position where I can reach in there.

TO20 lift control fork, valve connection

My nice old TO-20 gradually developed an unresponsive draft control lever. Somehow I had the impression it was a mechanical connection issue rather than pump issue. So, I removed the inspection/dipstick cover, but couldn't get my head in there around the fender to see much of anything, and...

Can't figure out which rear rims to get, TO20

Hi Tom. Thanks for the reply and pictures. Sorry I didn't reply sooner. I got distracted by other projects. It looks like the 9" rims fit those tires fine. I think I will go with them. Dave

Can't figure out which rear rims to get, TO20

I just don't understand why there seem to be so many sizes for the rims. On the tire it says: 11.2-28 On 10" Rim 10-28 So that makes me think it's a 10" rim. So why is the primary one listed 9"?

Can't figure out which rear rims to get, TO20

I need to replace my rusted out rear rims on my TO20. I was about to buy a pair here: https://www.yesterdaystractors.com/Ferguson-TO20_Rim-9X28_NCA1020C.html but then I noticed there are different widths available. I see 9x28, 10x28, 11x28, 12x28, and Power Adjust rims, whatever they are. I...

What is this long pin called and where can I find it?

Thanks a lot for your help, everybody. David

What is this long pin called and where can I find it?

Thanks for the replies. And for fixing my picture links, however that worked. In the first picture, it would be the pin that goes through the hole marked #1. I can't read the second picture very well, but is the long pin marked #5? What is that called? I am thinking about building one of...

What is this long pin called and where can I find it?

Hmm... Trouble with pictures. It is the long pin that is under the top link pin, that goes through the hole in the middle of the case and out through both ends.

What is this long pin called and where can I find it?

Somehow this pin is missing on my TO20. It's the long one with the arrow pointing to it. I'm pretty sure I had it at one time. I'll probably find it with the brush hog...

    Transmission jumps out of gear

Thanks for all the information. I wish there was a way to know how severe it is before I decide to buy it. You say, "If you have children......been married...dealt with the rigors of life... Go for it... I say: if it hadn't been for all those rigors of life, I might have the energy left...

    Transmission jumps out of gear

Thanks for the replies. It sounds like it may not be anything major. Can those shift forks be removed from the top, if they need to come out? The idea of splitting the cases is a bit scary. David

    Transmission jumps out of gear

I own a TO20 that I really love. I came across another Fergie a couple of months ago that is kind of neat, and the owner suggested I make him an offer. It may be a TO30. I forget. The guy said that the only thing wrong with it is that it jumps out of gear. It apparently has been sitting...

    Clutch Pedal Hits Foot Rest

Jeremy in DE said (sorry, I can't figure out the automatic quote function): "Any chance the pedal is bent somehow? At least on my TO30, before the pedal hits the footrest, the "arm" of the pedal hits the brake linkage shaft and that stops pedal movement. Of course, in 69 years I guess...
