We had a 6 row JD 7000 planter that we pulled with a 60 hp tractor. If I remember correctly you would not want any smaller tractor than that but It would handle full fert boxes but it made it work hard. 55/60 series large frame vs 8000 series tractors
I have no experience with either a 4955 or 4960 but have a lot of experience with both an 8410 and a 8420. 7x00 Series Question
Had both a 7200 power quad and a 7600 power shift. The power quad was a far nicer transmission than the power shift for smoothness and getting the power to the ground. 8640 vs 8440 for grain cart work
Have farmed with both a 8640 and 8440 and the only problems we ever had with both was the engines. We never had any transmission or hydraulic problems with either one.
